Al Muratsuchi (D), Assembly District 66, see also here ; beat George Barks (former Hermosa Beach Mayor) in 2024; 2 year term, max 12 years
OC Register article about Muratsuchi. In February 2025 he announced he's going to run for Superintendent of Pubic Instruction to protect the public schools against Trump. He just put together Assembly Bill 84 which will put regulations on charter schools.
David Hadley beat Muratsuchi in 2014, but was beat in 2016. David was also Republican party chairman for Assembly District 66.

Joe recently wrote up bill AB 1370 which would require the government to not do non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) when going into contracts.
